Job Overview

A prominent law firm is currently seeking a Junior to Midlevel Associate with 1-5 years of experience in intellectual property disputes to join their growing practice. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team on high-profile intellectual property litigation matters.

Ideal Candidates

Ideal candidates will have a technical background in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or related fields, and a desire to contribute to a variety of complex and challenging IP dispute cases.

Duties

  1. Represent clients in complex intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement, trademark, and trade secrets cases.
  2. Draft legal pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  3. Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and memoranda.
  4. Assist with the discovery process, including managing document review and drafting discovery requests.
  5. Provide strategic advice to clients on IP litigation and enforcement issues.
  6. Participate in depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
  7. Collaborate with senior attorneys and team members on case strategy and client management.

Requirements

  1. 1-5 years of relevant experience in intellectual property litigation at a large law firm.
  2. Strong technical background, ideally in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  3. Active membership in the bar of the state in which the position is located.
  4. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  5. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education

J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

Active bar membership in the state where applying.
