Job description

Purpose Of The Position

The main purpose of the junior technician is to do repairs, service & maintenance on specific devices that are used within the Cash Connect / Lesaka group. Here at the Validator Repair Centre (VRC) in Boksburg we primarily do focus on the note validators used on the safes.

Duties & Responsibilities, But Not Limited To

• The fault-finding, repair, service & maintenance of specific devices.
• The cleaning and tidiness of the workspace.
• Recording of all personal stock handling.
• Recording all work done on each repair.
• The movement of repairs on the workshop floor.
• Ensuring the effective continuation of workflow.
• Assisting with stock takes.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Standard working hours 07:30 to 16:00, Monday to Thursday and 07:30 to 14:00 on Fridays.
• Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required during busy periods.
• Workshop environment.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet targets.
  
  

Formal Education And Experience

• Matric or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Technical experience is advantageous.
