Junior Support Engineer - Solar Sector Our client is looking for an experienced and self-reliant Junior Support Engineer specialising in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar sector in South Africa.

The Junior Solar Support Engineer plays a vital role in project development, collaborating with the Project Engineer and Project Manager.

Responsibilities include monitoring and fault-finding in the existing asset portfolio, as well as contributing to the sizing, pricing, and initial technical designs of solar projects.

Key Requirements : Education & Experience BTech Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience in Renewable Energy, particularly solar.

Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

Familiarity with solar software like Helioscope and PV Syst.

Prerequisites Own vehicle and driver's license required & comfortable with frequent travel within Gauteng Monitoring systems and fault-finding Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills Proficiency in Helioscope and Excel Responsibilities Monitoring of Existing Assets (40%) Remote daily monitoring of our asset portfolio Coordinate technical team callouts Identify and troubleshoot underperforming assets Regularly report system performance to management System Design & Quotation (40%) Develop initial solar and BESS system designs based on client input Generate quotations for the sales team Conduct technical site visits as needed Ad Hoc Support (20%) Assist Senior Project Engineer with detailed engineering packs Manage metering partner relationships Support operations team with research on metering and hardware development Opportunity for Growth Our client is experiencing rapid growth, offering ample opportunities for career progression within 2 years.
