Job summary

A packaging and manufacturing company is looking for a Junior Sales Representative based in East London. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of sales/customer service experience in agricultural markets, possesses a valid driver’s license, and is proficient in both English and Afrikaans. Key responsibilities include maintaining and growing the company’s footprint in the Eastern Cape. A proactive and energetic individual is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

  • Min 2 years sales/customer service experience in agricultural or FMCG sectors.
  • Proven track record in Sales and Marketing and new business development.
  • Must be energetic and able to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow the company's Agricultural footprint in the Eastern Cape.
  • Report monthly sales and projects to the Sales Manager.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are communicated to production and sales.

Job requirements:

  • Min 2 yrs. sales/customer service experience in agricultural, corrugated or FMCG market sectors.
  • Proven track record in Sales and Marketing, and new business development
  • Must be proactive, responsible and reliable
  • Must be energetic, hard-working and able to perform under pressure
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Building customer relations
  • Goal orientated
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Good communication skills at all levels. Must be Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office – Excel, Word, Sales Costing Systems)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and growing the company’s Agricultural footprint in the Eastern Cape and export markets
  • Reporting monthly sales and projects to the Sales Manager
  • Ensuring all customer requirements are communicated to production and sales
  • Manage price increase negotiations
  • Report on sales activity
  • Keep detailed reports on prospect and customer interactions
  • Meeting of all targets/setting of budgets
