A leading company in Cape Town is seeking a technical sales support professional to identify new business opportunities and assist in project planning. This role offers training and mentorship from experienced staff, along with opportunities for career growth in the sales field. Candidates should be eager to learn and grow within a technical environment, with a focus on construction basics and project coordination.
Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities across target industries.
Conduct initial site visits to gather information and support the preparation of quotations.
Learn to price and scope projects under the guidance of senior staff.
Support client communications and follow-ups, both on-site and via email / phone.
Help prepare and deliver sales proposals and service presentations.
Maintain accurate sales records, leads, and activities using CRM systems.
Attend industry events, meetings, and client sites as needed to support sales growth.
Technical Exposure / Knowledge Areas
While direct technical expertise is not mandatory, the ideal candidate should have some exposure or willingness to learn about :
Construction basics (site work, materials, repairs)
Project Planning and Costing (assisting in gathering details for pricing)
Painting – types, application techniques, and maintenance
Waterproofing – common systems used in commercial and industrial applications
Rope Access (Advantageous) – basic understanding or interest in high-access work environments
Candidate Requirements
1–3 years of experience in a technical, construction, maintenance, or sales support role.
Eagerness to grow in a technical sales environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel and conduct site visits.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
Preferred :
Exposure to rope access, waterproofing, painting, or construction services.
Background in technical disciplines, trade work, or project coordination.
Familiarity with quotation preparation or client-facing roles.
