Minimum Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Management
  • Ensure correct and effective financial administration according to Nando’s policies & procedures daily
  • Assist in controlling expenditure and achieving expected gross profit margins (stock control, waste management, pilferage, etc.)
  • Assist in taking corrective actions to improve business performance indicators (Sales, Gross Profit, Ticket Average, Customer Count, etc.)
  • Monitor performance against set daily targets (Turnover, Ticket Average, Customer Count)
Operational Management
  • Ensure efficient stock control management daily
  • Perform daily compliance checks regarding Health & Safety, Repairs, Maintenance, Cleaning & Hygiene, escalate issues as needed
  • Assist in developing corrective action plans to improve audit results
  • Ensure compliance with Nando’s operational standards
People Management
  • Assist in developing weekly rosters to meet business needs
  • Assist with recruitment, induction, and training of staff
  • Manage attendance records
  • Ensure adherence to disciplinary policies
  • Provide feedback on staff performance and escalate issues as necessary
  • Ensure staff are trained on relevant procedures
Marketing Management
  • Assist with communication and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Respond to customer complaints following policies
  • Help develop corrective action plans based on mystery shopper reports
  • Support local marketing efforts to increase sales and customer base
  • Serve as acting Restaurant Manager in their absence
