Job summary

Moonstone Compliance & Risk Management in Stellenbosch seeks a Junior Professional / Supervisee Compliance Officer to support regulatory research, drafting, and the development of compliance services. The role includes managing the document database, drafting stakeholder agreements, and supporting FSCA supervision during the 3-year statutory period.

Qualifications

LLB (4 years) / B.Com Law, LL.B / BA Law, LL.B / B.Acc LL.B / BCom degree or equivalent recognised by the FSCA for Compliance Officers.
At least 2 years’ working experience in a legal environment.
At least 1 year’s working experience in a compliance, risk management and/or financial services environment.

Responsibilities

Receive, research, respond and resolve compliance-related queries from internal stakeholders, clients, prospective clients, and industry role players.
Assist in devising strategies to manage the broader regulatory risk environment.
Assist in establishing procedures on identification, reporting and resolution of compliance issues.
Research and stay current on applicable legislation, regulations, industry guidance and best practices.
Develop, implement and maintain templates, policies, SOPs, controls and training materials.
Create and draft informative articles on regulatory topics and develop training content for stakeholders.
