Job summary

FEM, based in Rosebank, Johannesburg, is seeking a Junior QA Tester to support the delivery of reliable software in a DevOps and Agile environment. The role focuses on manual testing, defect management, and developing automation testing skills under supervision, while contributing to CI/CD processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts and senior QA team members to ensure software quality standards are maintained throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Matric qualification and ISTQB Foundation Certification (or working towards).
• Software testing short courses, relevant bootcamps, internships or equivalent exposure.
• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field advantageous.
• 0–2 years' experience in software testing.

Responsibilities

• Execute defined QA activities in a DevOps/Agile delivery environment.
• Perform manual testing, document test cases, and manage defects.
• Support CI/CD processes and QA activities under supervision.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and senior QA members.
• Develop automation testing skills and grow technical/business knowledge.
