Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Assist senior PMs in developing project plans and timelines.
• Coordinate activities, schedule meetings, track progress, and manage documentation.
• Facilitate cross-team communication between developers, designers, and stakeholders.
• Identify and escalate project risks and issues.
• Support Agile practices and maintain project artifacts.
• Contribute to status reports and stakeholder presentations.

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Project Manager to join their growing software development team in Stellenbosch . You will support senior project managers in planning, executing, and delivering software projects, gaining valuable experience in all facets of project management. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior project managers in developing project plans, timelines, and resource estimates.
• Coordinate project activities, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, and managing documentation.
• Facilitate communication between development teams, designers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Help identify and track project risks and issues, escalating them as needed.
• Support the team in adhering to Agile development methodologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the creation of project status reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a project coordination or junior project management role, preferably within software development.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Basic understanding of project management principles and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable in a hybrid work setting.
