Job summary

Express Employment Professionals Midrand, proudly South African manufacturer of innovative sanitation and infrastructure solutions, seeks a Junior Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations on the factory floor. The role requires a hands-on leader who drives safety, quality, and continuous improvement while mentoring production teams.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Stores, Logistics and QA to meet daily targets, uphold ISO 9001 standards, and report to senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Production Management or Manufacturing Management qualification (NQF level 5 or higher).
• At least 5 years in a manufacturing production management role.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all daily production operations.
• Achieve daily and monthly production targets.
• Manage Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, and factory personnel.
• Monitor productivity, efficiencies, downtime, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain Health, Safety, Housekeeping and PPE compliance.
• Develop, mentor and motivate production teams.

Minimum Requirements

Advantageous

• Experience within a concrete or construction manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S principles.
• Health & Safety knowledge and experience.
