SMD Technologies is seeking a Junior Product Assistant in Edenvale to support the Product Team with admin tasks, product listings, and coordination across marketing and sales channels.

The role involves organizing training, liaising with brand ambassadors, and maintaining showroom standards to ensure accurate product listings and effective campaigns.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in product, marketing, or administrative support roles.
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: handle day-to-day admin tasks for the Product Team.
• Product Listings: upload and maintain product information, images, and updates on internal portals.
• Creative Briefs: prepare design and marketing briefs for campaigns and product launches.
• Brand Ambassador Coordination: support BISSELL brand ambassador activities, including scheduling, communication, and reporting.
• Agency Liaison: work with external agencies to ensure timely delivery of assets.
• Training Support: organise and track regular product training sessions for staff and ambassadors.
• Reporting: compile monthly sales reports and manage commission reporting for the product team.
• Showroom Maintenance: ensure showroom is well maintained and aligned with brand standards.

Position Overview

The Junior Product Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Product Team. This role is key in ensuring smooth product management processes, accurate listings, and effective coordination across marketing, sales, and brand ambassador activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: Handle day-to-day admin tasks to assist the Product Team.
• Product Listings: Upload and maintain product information, images, and updates on internal portals.
• Creative Briefs: Prepare design and marketing briefs for campaigns and product launches and product awareness on social platforms and for presentations.
• Brand Ambassador Coordination: Support BISSELL brand ambassador activities, including scheduling, communication, and reporting.
• Agency Liaison: Work closely with external agencies to ensure timely delivery of creative and marketing assets.
• Training Support: Organise and track regular product training sessions for staff and ambassadors.
• Reporting: Compile monthly sales reports and manage commission reporting for the product team.
• Showroom Maintenance: Ensure product showroom is well maintained, stocked and visually aligned with the brand standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
• 1–2 years' experience in product, marketing, or administrative support roles
• Experience with e-commerce or product listing platforms advantageous
