Job summary

voestalpine Automotive Components East London Ltd. Co. is seeking an engineer/quality support role to maintain engineering records and assist in rework, scrapping, and process improvements. You will support operations and technicians with line measurements and track part history.

Responsibilities include drawing verification, tear-down analyses, and cycle-time studies, with a focus on prompt problem solving and collaboration across teams at the East London plant.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SHE systems and ISO14001 quality management.
• Familiar with IATF 16949 requirements and problem solving.
• Ability to apply root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain engineering records for the East London plant.
• Assist in engineering, quality, rework and scrapping processes.
• Support operations and technicians in line measurements.
• Update optimization part history for all parts.
• Assist engineering with drawings vs built parts.
• Perform tear-down analyses for spot welds, rivets and glue.
• Support process cycle time analysis and problem solving.
• Address process-related problems promptly.
