Job Summary
Play a key role in supporting financial resource management initiatives. The main focus is to:
- Support optimal and efficient allocation and usage of scarce financial resources (capital, funding, and leverage exposure) across the Group.
- Support the facilitation of the optimization of value-aligned performance measures (Return on Capital) based on the plans for the clusters.
- Understand the regulatory environment and upcoming changes for both Capital and Liquidity. Analyze the impact of upcoming regulations that could affect the availability of financial resources within CIB, and translate impacts on current portfolio as well as perform forward-looking assessments.

Key accountabilities
Financial Resource Management
- Obtain and monitor risk-adjusted performance metrics and financial resource usage for each relevant business unit.
- Support business on funding profile efficiency.
- Assist in financial resource optimization initiatives and support capital allocation requests in line with these initiatives.
- Provide decision support that is business-enabling and solution-oriented.
- Challenge each business area on opportunities to maximize returns on financial resources, focusing on integrated plans, pricing tools, and new product approval processes. Partner with the business and advise on financial outcomes of decisions, proactively identifying value-generating and destroying behaviors.
- Support each business area in maximizing Return on Capital (RoRC), including integrated business plans, pricing tools, and new product approvals.
- Contribute to committee meetings and forums, sourcing and preparing management information for effective decision-making.
- Ensure objectives are achieved within regulatory constraints and Risk Appetite, with a focus on capital, funding, and leverage.
- Support adherence to financial resource policies and limits.
- Manage action plans to address gaps identified in finance and strategic planning processes.
- Monitor resource usage weekly versus forecasts.
- Monitor the pipeline and communicate expected funding requirements to Treasury.
Skills required
- Experience in financial resource management (capital, funding, leverage)
- Understanding of banking regulations
- CIB product knowledge
- Experience with risk-adjusted performance measurement
- Stakeholder engagement across finance, business, and risk
- Strong analytical skills, IT proficiency, good presentation skills, independence, time management, and ability to work under pressure.
Education
Higher Diplomas in Business, Commerce, and Management Studies (Required)
