Job description

The Junior Plant Engineer will assist senior engineers with planning, execution and monitoring of plant maintenance and projects. Help with project documentation, reports and presentations. Trouble shoots plant equipment issues and provides solutions. Assist in managing electrical maintenance process and investment projects. Monitor operation of the existing production technologies and the new solar plant

What you´ll do

  • Develop and implement a maintenance strategy.
  • Assign tasks and monitor the department’s progress.
  • Measure, monitor and report equipment availability and reliability. Must be conversant and familiar with PLC integration and control(siemens) as well as fault finding.
  • Must be conversant and familiar with Power factor correction Prepare and present regular report on maintenance activities and performance
  • Collaborate with other departments to support production
  • Suggest areas for improvement in local production processes along with possible solutions.
  • Monitors KPIs for engineering & maintenance processes.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on systems, equipment and machinery.
  • Inspect systems and machinery to identify potential problems.
  • Conduct regular tests on electrical systems, equipment and machinery to ensure they are operating properly.

  • Minimum education required for the position : B.Eng degree / BSc degree Electrical Non-Negotiable
  • Area of specialization : Industrial plant maintenance (Manufacturing)
  • Minimum work experience required in years : 2 Years within manufacturing environment

Further knowledge required :

  • Knowledge of instrumentation will be advantageous.
