Job summary

Mr Price Group Limited is seeking a Junior Planner to manage the product lifecycle across multiple periods, maximizing sales and gross profit for cellular by forecasting and allocating stock to meet budget plans.

In this role you will analyze portfolio performance, collaborate with Planning, Sourcing, Operations, Marketing and Distribution Centre teams, and support Open to Buy, markdown decisions and supplier strategies to optimise stock and profitability.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce/Finance/Economics/Statistics/Mathematics/Retail Business Management or related field.
• 1–2 years’ relevant experience.
• Strong numeracy and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and planning data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Post-mortem and seasonal strategy: analyse performance vs plan and identify opportunities.
• Assortment and financial planning: prepare balanced plans aligned to seasonal targets.
• Forecasting and stock management: develop accurate sales forecasts and optimize stock levels.
• Current trade and execution: analyse trade against plan and communicate changes to teams.
• What success looks like: seasonal plans supported by analysis, balanced assortment, and on-time execution.
