Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management of Business Partners
  • Monitor Customer or Business Partner inquiries and complaints and ensure resolution.
  • Implement Control Measures and provide Ad Hoc Management Support.
  • Assist in ensuring open communication channels between Production departments.
  • Provide Management support where necessary.
  • Ensure the Planner is involved or aware of relevant matters affecting the business.
  • Production Planning and Scheduling:
    • Schedule and review orders and demands for long-term periods, maintaining a production plan to meet customer demands.
    • Analyse data on supply and demand to optimise production planning.
    • Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels at centralised and external warehouses.
    • Indicate and follow up on purchases of raw materials to maximise and optimise production planning, ensuring sufficient lead time for purchasing.
    • Work closely with Production and Maintenance departments to ensure effective production planning and downtime management.
    • Assist with production planning of affiliates and ensure collaboration with the centralised warehouse.
    • Monitor product inventory within the Company.
    • Ensure the balancing of supply and demand functions.
  • Reporting and Analysing:
    • Identify and develop reporting systems where necessary.
    • Implement and train relevant employees to update and analyse reports.
    • Improve forecast accuracy.
    • Conduct promotional impact analysis.
  • Analysing Business Profitability and Efficiency:
    • Identify and analyse production and procurement cost-saving opportunities.
    • Analyse and maintain operational data for the Company.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Participate in safety forums.
    • Follow up on activities assigned through safety meetings/committees/representatives/management.
    • Report all safety incidents to relevant personnel.
    • Attend safety education and refresher programmes.
    • Comply with safety policies and procedures.
    • Distribute safety information as required.
Qualifications:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Degree) in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • A further qualification in Planning and Inventory Management is advantageous.
  • 1 to 2 years of working experience in a similar role is recommended.
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning principles is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience within an FMCG/manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of planning and its critical elements/components.
