Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Physics Educator to join a dynamic science faculty at a progressive high school in Port Elizabeth. This role is ideal for an early-career teacher passionate about physics and committed to igniting students' curiosity in the subject.

You will work under the guidance of senior educators, deliver engaging lessons, and assist in creating a positive learning environment where students can develop a solid understanding of physical principles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or related science field and PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Entry-level to 3 years of physics teaching experience at secondary level.
  • Strong foundation in physics and passion for science education.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging physics lessons to secondary students across topics from mechanics to modern physics.
  • Develop and prepare practical lab experiments and demonstrations.
  • Assess student understanding and provide feedback.
  • Support Head of Science in classroom management and a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with science teachers on departmental projects and school initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
