Job summary

VKB Group in Prieska, Northern Cape, is seeking a Learner Parts Marketer within VKB Mechanisation to learn parts sales, stock management, and customer service.

The role focuses on identifying parts, assisting farmers, and building knowledge of CASE IH equipment catalogues while supporting branch operations and sales growth.

The position is permanent, open to individuals with Grade 12, English and Afrikaans communication, and a willingness to learn in an agricultural parts environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 with Mathematics.
• Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Valid driver’s licence advantageous.
• Customer Service Orientation.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop within the mechanisation industry.
• Customer-focused attitude and professional appearance.
• Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with parts enquiries and sales.
• Learn to identify and source agricultural machinery parts accurately.
• Manage stock effectively, ensuring availability, ordering based on movement.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and binning stock.
• Ensure shelves and displays are clean, organised, and correctly labelled.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory control processes.
• Capture sales orders and quotations under supervision.
• Support workshop and service department parts requirements.
• Build strong relationships with farmers and clients.
• Learn and understand CASE IH and other agricultural equipment parts catalogues and systems.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
• Participate in training and development initiatives.
• Stay up to date with agricultural technologies and equipment to serve customers better.
• Point-of-sale process including cash and card transactions.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping of stock and displays.
• Commit to continuous training and growth, both personally and professionally.
