Junior Part-Time Graphic Designer & Digital Marketing Assistant

Are you a creative thinker with a keen eye for design and a passion for digital marketing? Bosse Events is looking for a Part-Time Graphic Designer & Digital Marketing Assistant to support our events team and assist in servicing our existing digital marketing clients. If you’re a self-starter who can juggle multiple design briefs and enjoy working in a fast-paced, fun environment — we want to meet you!

About the Role:

As our in-house Graphic Designer & Digital Marketing Assistant, you’ll play a key role in developing visuals for client event artwork, social media content, internal marketing assets, and brand collateral. You’ll also assist in managing content and visual delivery for our digital marketing clients. This is the perfect opportunity for a designer who loves variety, has strong communication skills, and wants to contribute to exciting projects within the events space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design digital and print-ready artwork for events, including signage, menus, invites, backdrops, and social media content.
• Create marketing materials for internal promotions and campaigns.
• Collaborate with our events team to bring client concepts to life visually.
• Assist in managing content for existing social media clients, including scheduling, basic copywriting, and community management.
• Keep our Trello boards and client folders organized with the latest design work.
• Prepare print files and liaise with suppliers where needed.
• Edit photos and create reels or short-form videos for event recaps and content marketing.
• Support general administrative or creative marketing tasks when needed.

What We’re Looking For / Must-Have Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop (experience with other design tools a bonus).
• A creative portfolio showcasing a mix of digital and print design.
• Basic video editing or content creation skills are a plus!
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (petrol allowance provided for work-related travel).
• Able to commute to our Durban North office 2–3 times per week.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take initiative.
• A love for branding, events, and storytelling through visuals.

Payment Structure:

R400 per day worked, working 2–3 days per week during our quieter months, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position from September for the right candidate.
