Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience in Pastel or similar programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct OHS Act compliance surveys and investigations.
  • Manage tasks and projects while liaising with management.
  • Perform general admin duties and site audits.

Job description

My client, A National Company requires the services of a Junior OHS / SHEQ Officer to be based at their branch in Midrand, Gauteng.

Requirements:
  1. Matric and position associated additional qualifications.
  2. Must have Nosa and OHS Act qualifications.
  3. Must have knowledge of Health and Safety aspects.
  4. Must have knowledge and understanding of financials and profit margins.
  5. Experience in internal and external sales is essential.
  6. Past experience in management of subordinate staff would be beneficial.
  7. Be able to conduct OHS Act compliance surveys, investigations, and implementation.
  8. Have experience in doing Risk Assessments, Evacuation Drills, and be able to compile site drawings.
  9. Be of sound health as the position requires candidates to do a lot of walking when doing site surveys and audits.
  10. Be goal driven and have self-discipline to go see existing and new customers without ongoing instruction and supervision.
  11. Will be required to travel locally and nationally.
  12. Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
  13. Minimum 1-year experience in Pastel and / or similar programs.
  14. Computer literate (MS Word, Office, Excel, and Outlook).
  15. Basic knowledge of project management.
  16. Knowledge and experience relating to financials, profit margins, etc.
  17. Excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with all levels of management.
  18. Bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
  19. Must be able to work under pressure.
  20. Manage tasks and projects.
  21. General admin duties.
