This role is designed to handle day-to-day network support tickets, with a focus on after-hours and weekend support. • Assist in configuring and maintaining network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless devices, under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Troubleshoot basic network issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineers when necessary.
  • Monitor network performance and report anomalies to the team.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Document ticket resolutions and maintain accurate records of network activities.
  • Participate in training sessions with senior engineers to develop skills in network design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Stay available and responsive during assigned working hours to ensure seamless support.

Working Hours

  • Weekdays: 3 days per week, 2:00 PM 10:00 PM
  • Weekends: Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM 3:00 PM.
  • Flexible arrangement with some office time required but primarily remote as long as availability is maintained during assigned hours.

Qualifications

  • Basic experience in networking (e.g., familiarity with routers, switches, or wireless systems).
  • Computer literacy and comfort with technical tools and software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow under the mentorship of senior engineers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant diploma or certification in IT or networking is a plus but not required.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation may be required for occasional on-site visits.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Mikrotik equipment or other networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Ubiquiti).
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with customer service or helpdesk environments.
  • Interest in pursuing certifications such as Mikrotik Certified Network Associate (MTCNA) in the future.
