Junior Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for networking and collaboration systems.
2. Handle and resolve first-line support calls to assist permanent support staff.
3. Participate in network and voice projects to expand and optimize infrastructure.
4. Assist with designing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco networking and CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager) environments.
5. Support the daily operation and maintenance of the corporate network infrastructure.
6. Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting.

Minimum Requirements

1. Certified CCNP (Routing & Switching) with at least 3 years of experience in a network support or engineering role.
2. Practical experience with Cisco networking technologies (switching, routing, VLANs, and ACLs).
3. Exposure to Cisco Collaboration technologies, particularly CUCM.
4. Familiarity with network security and segmentation, including ISE, wireless networking, or data center environments (advantageous).
5. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
6. Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points)

1. Certifications in Security (ISE), Wireless, or Data Centre technologies.
2. Exposure to VoIP and enterprise communication systems.
3. Experience working in a high-availability, enterprise IT environment.
