Junior Microgrid Controls Engineer

Our client in the Solar Engineering Industry is looking for a hardworking and dedicated Junior Microgrid Controls Engineer to join their team in their office in Roodepoort, Johannesburg.

Requirements Include:

• Strong IP network knowledge
• Experience in wiring and reticulating complex control wiring
• Experience in configuring complex control systems
• Good understanding of modern technology
• Experience with Modbus and CAN bus protocols
• Good understanding of Generators, Battery Energy Storage Solutions, and PV (Micro Grids)
• Knowledge of Electrical Distribution MV and LV
• Electrical Metering experience
• Background in power plant control or PLC automation
• Technologically advanced mindset
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Additional Certificates in Solar technology are advantageous

Location:

Roodepoort mainly, with occasional work in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

Salary Range:

R20,000 - R30,000 CTC (depending on experience)

Starting Date:

As soon as possible
