FFSA is actively engaged with the fashion industry through various channels, including fashion weeks, television shows, and student competitions. As an academy committed to the growth and success of its students, FFSA provides comprehensive and practical training experiences.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Durban for a Junior Mentor. The Junior Mentor will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, assisting with the development and implementation of training programs, and monitoring student progress. Additional duties include offering feedback on student projects, facilitating group workshops, and ensuring a conducive learning environment. The Junior Mentor will also collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall educational experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience and skills in Fashion Design and Clothing Manufacturing
  • Proficiency in mentoring, coaching, and providing constructive feedback
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement training programs
  • Organizational skills and the ability to monitor and assess student progress
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Qualification in Fashion Design, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in an educational or mentorship role is advantageous
