Duties & Responsibilities

Environment:

Since the early 2000s, our client has been a leader in the wound care sector in South Africa, offering top-quality service and support through a dedicated, well-trained national sales team. Their R&D team focuses on creating high-quality, advanced wound care products, most of which are produced locally. They are currently seeking a driven, ambitious, and organized Junior Medical Sales Consultant based in Johannesburg. Fluency in Afrikaans and English is essential. The role involves promoting and securing market share of innovative wound care products within private care hospitals in Johannesburg. Building strong, ethical relationships with healthcare professionals and hospitals to drive sales growth is key.

Responsibilities
  • Promote current and new products.
  • Identify business opportunities and sell all products.
  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets.
  • Maintain and grow customer accounts.
  • Work responsibly in the field, being goal-driven and a team player.
Management by Objectives
  • Plan effectively to achieve sales and marketing goals.
  • Take responsibility for following through on objectives.
  • Manage personal workload efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the company's CRM system, providing regular feedback.
Reporting
  • Record daily sales activities and market insights.
  • Provide weekly progress reports.
  • Prepare weekly planning schedules.
  • Submit monthly forecasts on time.
  • Attend all business meetings.
Administrative Tasks
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time, including reports, leave forms, and expense claims.
  • Manage stock, ensuring proper procedures are followed when entering hospitals and facilities.
  • Assist with tender processes when required.
Collaboration
  • Build and maintain relationships with admin support and staff.
  • Provide excellent pre- and post-sales service.
  • Maintain regular visits to hospitals and clinics to discuss products, stock, and orders.
Requirements
  • Post-matric or relevant qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Attributes
