Overview

Our client has a vacancy for a Junior Maintenance Technician at their plant in Cato Ridge. The purpose is to optimize the production process through the maintenance of machinery and equipment according to policies, procedures, and legal requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric and minimum N2 Trade theory
• Trade tested (With Apprenticeship)
• Knowledge of legislative and statutory requirements in SA
• Experience working in a FMCG environment
• Knowledge of equipment and machinery
• FCCS 22000 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001 certificate/s advantageous

Key responsibilities

• Follow Routine activities plan
• Carry out Non-Routine activities
• Breakdowns/Corrective
• Work with automated systems - CMMS - MP9, Scada
• Troubleshoot equipment.
• Complete Order request form for Material & Spares required
• Assist with installations
• Maintain a clean & safe environment
• Adhere to health and safety in maintenance workshop and facility
• Die change
• Start up and Shutdown
• Spares Consumption recording
