Job description

Position Title: Junior LPR Analyst
Reports To: ITOC Manager
Location: FSG Head Office, Helderkruin

Position Overview:
The Junior LPR Analyst plays a key role in the strategic deployment, maintenance of databases and monitoring of License Plate Recognition (LPR) camera systems to assist in crime prevention, detection, and operational success. This role requires a focused, driven individual who can operate both independently and within a team, while maintaining a high attention to detail under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate LPR systems to monitor, analyse, and escalate relevant information to the SAPS and response teams (both internally and externally).
  • Strategically use LPR camera data to support investigations and arrests.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and analysis of vehicle movements and suspect activity.
  • Prepare reports and provide real-time feedback to operational teams.
  • Meticulously gather and store information to aid in investigations and prosecution.
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of LPR-related data.
  • Audit and maintain LPR databases across various platforms.
  • Network within the industry to build intelligence and operational relationships.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure effective information flow.

Minimum Requirements:

  • PSIRA Grade A certification.
  • Strong task orientation with a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities and ability to manage small teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Previous experience in the use and management of LPR-related systems.
