Purpose of the role :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Agent to join our logistics team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals eager to build a career in freight forwarding, supply chain, and logistics. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting smooth operations across the logistics chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with coordinating local and international shipments (imports and exports).
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.).
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate with transporters, warehouses, and customs agents to resolve delays.
  • Update internal systems and maintain accurate shipment records.
  • Provide administrative support to the logistics team as needed.
  • Support in resolving client queries related to shipment status.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • South African unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have previously participated in the YES Programme.
  • Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (advantageous).
  • No prior experience required; training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, data entry).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the logistics industry.
