Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior IT Technician to provide technical support and assist with maintaining IT infrastructure.

This entry-level role is perfect for recent graduates or career changers looking to build hands-on experience in corporate IT environments.

You will work under senior technicians to troubleshoot hardware/software issues, deploy equipment, and support daily IT operations.

Shift Pattern: Standard business hours (Monday-Friday). Occasional overtime for system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support (Tier 1): Provide first-line support for Windows 10/11 and macOS issues, troubleshoot Microsoft applications (Outlook, Teams, Word/Excel), assist with password resets and account management via Active Directory, diagnose printer/scanner and peripheral device problems.
  2. Hardware Maintenance: Set up and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, perform hardware repairs and component replacements, manage IT equipment inventory and asset tagging, assist with cable management and workstation setups.
  3. System Administration Support: Help deploy software updates and security patches, monitor backup systems and report failures, assist with basic network troubleshooting (ping, ipconfig, Wi-Fi issues), document solutions in the knowledge base.
  4. Project Assistance: Support office moves and equipment deployments, help configure meeting room AV systems, participate in hardware refresh cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical Competencies: Basic Windows/Mac troubleshooting, Microsoft fundamentals, understanding of TCP/IP networking basics, hardware assembly/disassembly.
  • Nice-to-Have Experience: Active Directory user management, MDM solutions (Intune, Jamf), PowerShell/Bash scripting basics.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving attitude, ability to follow technical documentation, professional communication skills, willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Education & Certifications: Minimum high school diploma + IT coursework, CompTIA ITF+ or Microsoft Fundamentals certification. Preferred: Associate's degree in Computer Science/IT, CompTIA A+ certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 25kg (monitors/PC towers).
  • Comfortable working in server rooms/under desks.
