Job summary

Qualifications

OBJECTIVES (main duties and responsibilities)

• Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization.
• Assisting in setting up and maintaining computer and network systems.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting basic software and hardware issues.
• Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components.
• Supporting users when they encounter challenges with computers and network devices.
• Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.
• Courier, collect, and deliver hardware and devices to customers or suppliers.
• Maintaining hardware inventory list, keeping the storeroom updated and clean.
• Assembling ruggedized Raspberry Pi units and other basic hardware components.
• Managing 3D printer output and capacity for ruggedized Raspberry Pi components.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Formal Qualifications

• Basic experience in IT support or IT technician roles.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Technical documentation skills.
• Organizational and interpersonal skills.

Job Related Experience

Our client prefers candidates who have worked in similar roles such as IT Help Desk, IT Support, and related positions. Candidates should have a basic understanding of mobile and desktop operating systems, with a willingness to learn more advanced aspects on the job.

IT Technicians will assist with basic networking configuration, diagnostics, and maintenance. Experience with computer and network security, including firewalls, antivirus software, and malware protection, will be advantageous.

The Junior IT Technician should be able to provide technical support remotely and be familiar with virtual network solutions. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves dealing with internal customers by providing customer support.
