A leading company is seeking an entry-level IT support technician in Durban. The role involves providing first-line hardware and software support, setting up IT equipment, and assisting users both remotely and on-site. Candidates must possess A+/N+ certification and have a strong problem-solving orientation with excellent communication skills, plus opportunities for growth and certification within a supportive team culture.
Location: Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal
Type: 3 months fixed contract | Entry-level with at least 2 years’ experience
Salary: R10,000 – R12,000 (depending on experience)
What You’ll Do
Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues
Set up and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
Good knowledge in Microsoft 365
Assist with system updates, backups, and documentation
Troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed
Support users both remotely and on-site
What We’re Looking For
A+ / N+ certification or equivalent IT qualification
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous IT support experience (even internship or freelance) is a plus
Working knowledge of PC hardware, software, networking (Cat5e,Mikrotik, Huawei, port forwarding, DNS), peripherals, email setup, and basic troubleshooting
Neat, presentable, and organized – in appearance and within the work environment

Requirements, Specifications & Qualifications
Valid South African Driver’s License an advantage
Grade 12/ Senior Certificate
Minimum A+ N+ or similar preferable
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology – highly beneficial
Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting the IT Industry an advantage
