Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer – Airport Industria, Cape Town.
A Junior Infrastructure Engineer role is available at a leading inflight retail services company known for delivering innovative travel retail solutions across South Africa, the UK, and Africa.
Based at the Airport Industria, Cape Town office, this role provides critical office-based and remote IT support, ensuring smooth infrastructure, user assistance, and EPOS system performance across regional sites.

R12 000 to R18 000 per month.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 or A-Levels
- Relevant IT certification or diploma (advantageous)
- ITIL Certification (advantageous)
- Microsoft certification (MS 365, MCSE, MCSA, Cybersecurity, Azure Fundamentals) or A+, N+
- Knowledge of Microsoft desktop products (Office, Office 365, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
- Strong Microsoft Windows OS experience (Windows 10 & 11)
- Hardware and software troubleshooting experience
- Experience with laptops, desktops, and printer setup
- Understanding of IT security principles and troubleshooting
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally and regionally (endorsement-free travel documents required)
- Tax clearance and 5-year reference check for warehouse access
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and enthusiasm
Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizational Support:
- Network, desktop, laptop, peripheral hardware, printer, and IT infrastructure support
- EPOS device (TourPOS) and in-house application (FRS) support
- Testing, updating, and troubleshooting of EPOS systems and crew training devices
- Liaising with PayBay for software releases, repairs, and procedures
- Managing warehouse issues and liaising with operations
IT Operations:
- Maintain EPOS reliability and implement required processes
- Perform proactive checks, servicing, and repairs of EPOS devices
- Ensure system and application maintenance, updates, and backups
- Provide technical and user support on EPOS, applications, and user devices
- Manage support tickets and report regularly to the manager
- Assist with software/hardware testing, UAT, and user training
- Ensure hardware components are replaced before end-of-life or failure
Network and Device Management:
- Monitor and maintain network capacity, configuration, and devices
- Ensure operating systems and software are updated on workstations
- Maintain and service printers, barcode scanners, and user devices
- Uphold system security, user access, antivirus deployment, and disaster recovery plans
Out-of-Hours Support:
- Participate in a rotating schedule to respond to critical business calls outside normal hours
