Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Compilation of advanced reports
  2. Analysis and interpretation of information from management systems to identify areas of possible improvement and risk
  3. Plan and perform special investigations based on customer requirements
  4. Technical training and support of customers on management systems and/or areas of specialization
  5. Provide consultation on the use of "Information about IT" to improve or optimize IT environments
  6. Monitoring and configuration of business impact and other composite relationships
  7. Advanced identification, analysis, and resolution of technical problems
  8. Independent completion of tasks, presentation of reports, and making recommendations to clients
  9. Release note of all changes, new functions, and bugs compiled
  10. Request ticket updated according to status
  11. All relevant code for specific patch/release/hot fix in respective directories
  12. System tested holistically
  13. Implement patch/release/hot fix to client according to maintenance slot
  14. Audits planned and performed based on customer requirements
  15. Feedback on findings provided to client
  16. Data of findings analysed and interpreted
  17. Data presented to client
  18. All requests logged and assigned via RT, acted on, and updated
  19. Constant monitoring of client infrastructure ensured
  20. System administration tasks performed
  21. Database of monitored objects maintained
  22. Health check alerts actioned
  23. Ensure project is delivered as per SLA
  24. Encourage all participants to take an active role in the project
  25. Ensure participants have a clear understanding of what they need to complete and when
  26. Monitor progress and manage risks to and recovery of any schedule slippages
  27. Point of contact for members wishing to join and participate in the project
  28. Organize any necessary meetings to progress team work (weekly, daily, or ad-hoc as appropriate)
  29. Project Migration audit (following day according to checklists)
  30. Project Post-Migration data capturing and reporting
  31. Client & co-ordinating company liaison on email/group
  32. Monthly network health report for the data centre
  33. Daily change meeting (8AM) – updates on sites planned/completed/postponed/decommissioned/cancelled
  34. Client alignment meetings
  35. Standby support for project coordination
  36. Possible overtime as migrations happen in the evening, and there are daily deliverables
  37. Understanding top talkers/voice classes and the reporting thereof
  38. TruView auditing and configuration for Project sites
  39. Netscout migration processes
  40. How-to documentation creation
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Previous experience 1-2 years as a network operator
  • Relevant IT degree or National Diploma
  • Previous experience 1-2 years in Windows Server or Linux (Ubuntu / Redhat) operating systems
  • Previous experience 1-2 years in Network IP Addressing and Subnetting
  • Previous client-facing experience needed
