Job description

We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Junior IT Support Engineer to join our client's dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience and a keen interest in developing their IT skills.

You will be responsible for supporting a variety of IT systems and technologies, including IT infrastructure, end-user support, help desk services, and IT security.

Key Responsibilities
  1. IT Infrastructure & Management: Assist in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, network devices, and telecommunications systems. Support setup, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, laptops, and mobile devices. Support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Participate in cloud infrastructure management, including virtual machines and cloud storage.
  2. Networking (LAN & WAN): Provide assistance in network troubleshooting, monitor network performance, and assist in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls under senior guidance.
  3. VOIP & Communication Systems: Assist with VOIP system setup and maintenance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and support IP phones and hardware.
  4. IT Security: Help implement security measures like antivirus and firewalls, assist in security audits, and monitor security systems for threats.
  5. End-User Support: Provide technical support for end users across platforms, troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues, assist in onboarding, and ensure high user satisfaction.
  6. Help Desk Services: Manage help desk tickets, escalate issues when necessary, update the knowledge base, and collaborate with team members.
  7. Backup & Recovery: Support backup processes, verify backup data integrity, and assist in data restoration when needed.
Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support or related field.
  • Familiarity with hardware and software troubleshooting (Windows, macOS, Office Suite).
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and basic networking.
  • Basic experience with VOIP systems and security practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like Microsoft or AWS is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Soft Skills

Certifications (Optional): CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified (Windows).
