Job summary

Forvis Mazars in South Africa is seeking a Junior IT Auditor to join client engagement teams, assessing, improving and evaluating our clients' IT processes and controls within their IT environments. The role focuses on IT General Controls, OS and DB reviews, data migration, SAP basis and security authorisation reviews, and SOC reports.

You will work with the engagement team to plan the work, analyze risks, deliver high-quality service, and build long-term client relationships while pursuing CIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, information systems, business or related major.
• Pursuing information systems auditing certifications or accounting designations such as CISA.
• 1-2 years of experience in IT auditing, IT security, information technology operations or internal audit.
• Demonstrate excellence in conduct and business ethics.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business, financial and IT systems to identify risks and improvements in computer systems and IT-enabled processes.
• Assist clients in strengthening internal controls and improve IT and business performance; plan engagement timelines and risk assessments.
• Ensure high quality client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork and informing supervisors of status.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills and collaborate with engagement team to enhance deliverables.
• Maintain long-term client relationships and networks; cultivate business development opportunities.
• Discuss and resolve audit issues and recommendations with client management.
• Demonstrate understanding of complex information systems and applications in client situations.
