Job summary

Hillingdale Capital in Cape Town seeks a Junior Investment Analyst to join its front-office, sell-side oriented team. From day one you will work on live corporate finance and project finance transactions across Africa and Europe, originating and executing debt and equity raises and engaging with institutional investors.

The Opportunity

This is a dynamic, front-office, sell-side role for transaction-oriented investment professionals with a passion for corporate finance and project finance.

We are looking for a Junior Investment Analyst to join our growing team in our Cape Town office.

From day one, you will take on significant responsibility, executing live corporate finance and project finance transactions across Africa and Europe. You will originate and execute debt and equity capital raises, engage directly with institutional investors, lenders, banks, development finance institutions and corporate clients, and participate in every stage of the transaction process, from origination and financial analysis through due diligence, structuring, execution and financial close.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Finance, Business Science, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline.

Advantageous

• CA(SA), CFA Charterholder or CFA Candidate.
• Exposure to African and/or European capital markets.
• Experience raising debt or equity capital.
• Experience building integrated financial models, DCFs, project finance or LBO models.
