Infrastructure Advisory at Zutari
Zutari’s Infrastructure Advisory team is a growing practice working across South Africa, Africa, and the Middle East. We support public and private sector clients to make informed, strategic decisions about infrastructure investments—helping them navigate complex trade-offs, unlock funding, and deliver on their mandates around sustainability, service delivery, and resilience.
Our team works across infrastructure sectors—roads, energy, water, solid waste, resources, and urban development—and plays a key role in shaping how infrastructure is planned, financed, procured, and managed. We combine systems thinking with data-driven analysis and a strong understanding of infrastructure economics to guide decision-making where it matters most.
We are now looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our team—someone who can bring maturity, technical acumen, and a willingness to contribute to building the future of our advisory practice.
Role Description
The candidate will join the team as a Junior Infrastructure Advisory Consultant on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is intended to support the candidate’s development as an emerging data analyst, building on existing experience in GIS and a strong interest in infrastructure advisory.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting research, analysing datasets related to infrastructure projects (including spatial, financial, and performance data), and helping to generate insights that support strategic decision-making. A core part of the role will involve supporting the development of repeatable, structured approaches to data analysis—enabling the team to interrogate datasets, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.
While contributing to project work from the outset, the candidate will also be supported in learning and expanding their technical and analytical skillset, particularly in the use of tools such as Python, GIS software, spreadsheets, and visualisation platforms. The candidate is not expected to be an expert upon joining but is expected to bring foundational analytical skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
