A leading supply chain and logistics company based in Pretoria East, with the mission to optimize supply chains, reduce costs, and improve efficiency through innovation and collaboration, are looking for a motivated Junior Industrial Engineer to join their already established team and develop into a key contributor to our operations.

The Role

As a junior Industrial Engineer, you will be part of a fast-paced, results-driven environment where you'll work on improving supply and logistics processes, designing efficient systems, and supporting strategic projects that enhance our operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and improve supply chain and logistics workflows to optimize cost, time, and quality.

Support the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives using lean methodologies.

Collect, interpret, and visualize operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including warehouse, transportation, planning, and IT.

Assist in layout planning, facility design, and resource allocation for logistics operations.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Evaluate current technologies and make recommendations for automation or digital solutions.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on project progress and outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (recent graduates encouraged to apply).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret complex data sets.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement tools.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, SQL is a plus).

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
