We are seeking a Junior Fleet Controller for a permanent role based in Durbanville, Western Cape

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 with 2+ years relevant work experience in fleet control & tracking
• Experience with fleet-based IT systems
• Strong communication skills
• Valid drivers and own transport
• Fluency in both English and Afrikaans
• Good work ethic and of sober habits
• Willing to take annual leave during December construction shutdown period
• Resident in the Northern suburbs
• Must have strong personality and be good communicator
• Able to control 25 vehicles in 4 locations simultaneously

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Fleet compliance – manage condition of fleet; service programs; pre-start checklists
• Safety – attend to breakdowns/ investigate incidents; monitor speeding issues
• Maintenance – fleet efficiency; reduce down time; cost saving; problem solving; workshop flow
• Fleet tracking – check delivery addresses; establish best route; monitor off-loading times; monitor truck returns; checks vehicle whereabouts after hours
• General – assist with site access; oversee ‘no stops’; truck diverting; despatch communication; updating representative as to fleet status

Salary: R12000+ per month dependent on experience (provident after probation & 13th Cheque)
