Job summary

The Recruitment Pig is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to work on-site at a major corporate client. You will conduct risk assessments, contribute to the design of fire detection systems, ensure designs align with national building regulations, and produce technical reports for approvals and sign-offs.

You will perform regular site inspections, coordinate with on-site teams, and stay current with fire safety codes in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required (Mechanical or related).
• At least 1 year in fire protection engineering.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit is beneficial.
• Candidate Engineer registration with ECSA is an advantage.
• Strong time management to handle daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic fire risk assessments at a large corporate office site.
• Help design fire detection systems using standard engineering software tools.
• Check that all designs follow national building regulations very closely.
• Write clear technical reports for engineering project approvals and sign-offs.
• Do regular site inspections to check proper system installations and safety.
• Work smoothly with building teams to fit safety systems into plans.
• Keep your knowledge up to date with simple fire safety codes.
