Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead with Impact: Oversee a skilled Finance Team, fostering a high-performance culture through regular training and professional development sessions.
- Raise the Bar: Continuously review and enhance financial systems, internal controls, and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
- Own the Audit Process: Strategically coordinate and manage external audit preparations to ensure a seamless audit experience.
- Bring Budgets to Life: Assist in the formulation of scheme budgets and swiftly manage internal amendment requests under the guidance of the Financial Manager.
- Be the Financial Go-To: Tackle high-level financial queries and provide expert support on delegated matters.
- Deliver with Precision: Ensure that accurate management accounts are delivered to scheme Trustees on time, every month, as per agreements.
- Stay Ahead of Cash Flow Risks: Monitor and alert relevant parties to any cash flow anomalies, helping to prevent financial surprises.
- Utility Oversight: Ensure all municipal water and electricity readings are accurate, and secure the best possible deals for ongoing utility services.
- Drive Compliance: Champion financial regulatory compliance and maintain full transparency across all processes.
- Maximise Financial Insight: Analyse and report on Year-to-Date (YTD) expenditure against budgets to guide strategic decision-making.
- Ensure Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external accountants to supply all necessary documentation for income tax and PAYE submissions (if applicable)
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Qualified Professional Accountant - SAIPA ) (advantageous)
- Post article experience of minimum 2 years
- Minimum completed Bachelors of Accounting Science NQF Level 7
Experience and Knowledge:
- Proven experience within a similar role
- Proven leadership skills is essential (experience in managing a corporate finance team/department)
- Solid knowledge of financial processes, systems and related laws
- Experience in a commercial environment, including developing & implementing effective work processes, procedures and controls

We offer barista-produced coffee available all day to all our staff at Claremont.
Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45 minute lunch break. The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi time between 07h00 and 18h00.
With centrally located and modern offices just across from Cavendish in Claremont, Faircape offers a market-related salary.. The amount offered will be dependent on qualifications, experience and other market related factors.
