  • Oversee and manage the financial reporting process - timely reporting on daily, weekly and monthly management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Develop and maintain internal financial controls and policies - a strong emphasis on implementing the necessary systems in accordance.
  • Monitor and report on production costs, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, VAT regulations, and company financial policies - including overseeing monthly submissions and returns.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and operations teams to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Drive process improvements within the finance department.
  • Oversee monthly payroll.
  • Prepare for and assist with yearly audits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Must have a strong finance acumen with at least 3 years experience.
  • Professional qualification (PA(SA), CIMA) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
