Placements24 is assisting a financial services client in Paarl, Western Cape to hire a Junior Business Analyst. The role offers an on-site position supporting senior analysts, documenting business requirements, and helping drive process improvements within financial operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or close to completion.
• 0–2 years in a business analysis, project support, or relevant financial services role.
• Basic understanding of business analysis principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Familiarity with the financial services industry is a significant advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
• Support the creation of functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Participate in workshops and meetings with business users and technical teams.
• Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Assist in the testing and validation of new systems and solutions to ensure they meet business needs.
• Help manage project documentation and ensure its accuracy and completeness.
• Support senior business analysts in requirement prioritization and scope management.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and the development team.
• Contribute to the development of training materials for end-users.
• Perform other project-related tasks as assigned by the project manager or senior business analyst.
