Job description

Introduction

We are a Property Management company seeking to employ a Junior Financial & Admin Officer for the day-to-day administration of Sectional Titles.

Location: Office based in Centurion.

Duties & Responsibilities
Finance
  • Understanding of accounting standards and principles.
  • Assist Portfolio Manager with all financial functions as needed.
  • Send monthly levy statements and handle queries.
  • Weekly reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Import and allocate transactions from bank statements.
  • Perform customer & supplier reconciliations and capture payments.
  • Handle customer queries and corrections, including journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for trustees.
  • Create new suppliers on the system.
  • Pay supplier invoices and record invoices on the system.
  • Prepare financials for auditors at year-end and liaise with auditors.
  • Perform all banking duties related to daily transactions.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the Manager or employer.
Admin
  • Assist Portfolio Manager with daily administrative duties.
  • Support administrative procedures.
  • Report maintenance issues and communicate with contractors and trustees.
  • Follow-up on maintenance with contractors.
  • Facilitate insurance claims on behalf of the Body Corporate.
  • Provide clearance figures and certificates when required.
  • Assist with accounting queries and client relations.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance, administrative, and related matters.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the Manager or employer.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Qualification: Matric.
  • Experience: Accounting experience, computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Word, Management Software), customer service experience dealing with clients.
  • Other Skills: Customer service skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, organizational skills, time management skills.
Package & Remuneration

R10,000 - R12,000 (based on qualifications and experience)
