Job summary

Merand Corbett & Associates is seeking a Junior Digital Designer to join our team in Cape Town. You will design and produce artwork for digital, print and retail campaigns, and create engaging content for social media, websites, email campaigns, and e-commerce platforms.

You will develop marketing collateral, assist with product launches and ensure brand integrity across all materials, collaborating with marketing, sales and product teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate or 12+ years of experience in Graphic Design, Digital Design or Marketing.
• FMCG, Retail or Food Manufacturing experience is advantageous.
• Strong creative ability with good attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce creative artwork for digital, print, retail and internal communications platforms.
• Create engaging content for social media, websites, email campaigns, digital advertising and e-commerce platforms.
• Develop marketing collateral including brochures, catalogues, flyers, POS material, presentations, banners and campaigns.
• Assist with new product launches by creating packaging artwork, promotional material and digital assets.
• Ensure artwork follows brand guidelines and corporate identity standards.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product Development and other stakeholders to interpret briefs and deliver creative solutions.
• Edit and retouch product photography and marketing images.
• Assist with basic video editing, animations and motion graphics.
• Resize and adapt artwork for different platforms and formats.
• Write and edit marketing copy and campaign messaging when required.
• Maintain an organized library of digital assets, templates and artwork.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Keep up to date with digital design trends, AI design tools and emerging marketing technologies.
