Job description

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts to support production planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations. This role acts as a bridge between sales, quality assurance departments, and production teams to ensure customer delivery is met efficiently.

Requirements :
  • Education: Supply Chain Qualification, Matric with Maths
  • Skills: Strong communication, analytical skills, Excel knowledge, attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain dynamics, excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role; Sync experience advantageous
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with tight production timelines; office-based with regular interaction with the operations team
Key Responsibilities :
  1. Manage finished goods stock levels to achieve 100% on-time and in-full delivery.
  2. Manage inventory to balance customer demand and avoid excess stock.
  3. Deplete excess/obsolete stock promptly.
  4. Coordinate with production and manufacturing teams to meet delivery lead times.
  5. Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve supply chain issues.
  6. Generate reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and customer demand.
  7. Maintain system integrity through proper administrative processes and schedules.
  8. Support the senior MRP planner to maintain customer service levels and meet company objectives.
