Job summary

Santam is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join the Information Management Team in our Shared Services Department at the Cape Town head office. The role focuses on sourcing, transforming, and delivering data-driven insights to support business decisions.

Under guidance from Senior Analysts, you will build reports, dashboards and analytical models, while ensuring data quality and alignment with governance practices. Minimum 1–2 years in data analysis is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in information systems, statistics, data science or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience performing data analysis.
• Familiarity with reporting packages and BI tools.
• Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms.
• Experience handling large data sets and relational databases with BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Source and transform data across the business into usable formats for insights.
• Create reports and dashboards; own ongoing reporting and ad hoc requests.
• Test outputs, investigate data issues, and devise data-quality solutions.
• Communicate findings to both business and technical teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit requirements and define analysis scope.
