Junior Cybersecurity Analyst

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Cybersecurity Analyst with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT security support.

The ideal candidate will assist in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats while gaining exposure to a wide range of tools and technologies in a collaborative environment.

This role is perfect for someone who is eager to grow and make a real impact in the cybersecurity space.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and other security monitoring tools.
2. Investigate, document, and escalate potential security incidents in a timely manner.
3. Assist with vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities with IT teams.
4. Help manage endpoint protection, email security, firewalls, and other security controls.
5. Contribute to regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
6. Support the creation and maintenance of security documentation and incident reports.
7. Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends.
8. Participate in cybersecurity awareness initiatives and user training efforts.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: A degree or diploma in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 1 year of practical experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or a similar role.
Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent are a strong advantage.

Technical Skills: Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Familiarity with tools like SIEM, EDR, antivirus, firewalls, or vulnerability scanners.
Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Awareness of security frameworks such as ISO, NIST, or CIS is a plus.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication skills and ability to document technical findings clearly.
Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
