Junior Credit Analyst - Johannesburg North

Duties & Responsibilities
Our Client is looking for a Junior Credit Analyst to join their team in their Head Office situated in Johannesburg North.

POSITION SUMMARY: Will be responsible for administrative tasks assisting a loan originator / a loan originator in training.

This person must be exceedingly well organized, efficient and resourceful.

The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Gather and compile time-sensitive, confidential information.
  2. Transition files into processing.
  3. Input accurate, verified loan information into systems as applicable.
  4. Ensure all loan documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with company policy.
  5. Verify all loan documents including income, credit, appraisal and title information.
  6. Obtain executed disclosures within regulations time frame.
  7. Obtain accurate AUS findings.
  8. Resolve file problems, bottlenecks and qualifying issues throughout production and underwriting process.
  9. Provide administrative support in the collection and preparation of submitting loan application with supporting documentation to processing.
  10. Manage client and referral partner databases.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent, must also be 18 years or older.
  2. Sound judgment, ability to think critically, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions, determine the downstream impact of decisions and associated risks.
  3. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment; strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  4. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Intermediate math skills.
  6. Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
  7. Demonstrate patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers.
  8. A clear credit record must be maintained in this position and it shall be subject to intermittent and/or random credit checks.
  9. Any incumbent may not be an unrehabilitated insolvent.
