Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounting/finance experience.
• At least 1 year of Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in analyzing variances and implementing control measures.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM) as per manufacturing standards.
• Coordinating monthly stock takes and ensuring accurate recording.
• Investigating BOM variances and controlling stock.

About the job: Junior Cost Accountant

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• ND / CMA degree / Advanced Diploma and 3+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Minimum 1 year of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced skills in daily stock movements
• Exposure to Syspro will be advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Assisting in loading new BOM on SharePoint workflow
• Investigating BOM variances between actual manufacturing and Syspro data
• Controlling stock
• Coordinating monthly stock takes and ensuring accurate recording (may occur on weekends)
• Analyzing variances and implementing control measures
• Balancing and checking warehouses
• Performing cycle counts
• Preparing and processing stock adjustments
